Mathematics at secondary school will provide skills, understanding and confidence to use mathematics in everyday life. Students will develop a variety of approaches to problem solving, learn about patterns and relationships, interpret information and statistics and communicate ideas using correct language.
Some courses will prepare students for a continuing study of mathematics, and all courses should provide pupils with the skills and concepts to take a responsible role in our society.
In all courses, an appropriate range of mathematics techniques will be used to assist learning.
Mathematics teachers will discuss choices with students to help them reach the right decisions.
Note: Students studying ANY course in Year 11, 12 & 13 can earn credits towards their National Certificate of Educational Achievement.
