Wearable art show is held on a regular basis at the college. Students are required to create costumes and outfits to fill the program for the evening. The show includes performances from other groups, including the Kapa Haka group and dance groups.

The show was a great success with costumes entered by students of all ages. The money raised bought 6 new eMac computers and a colour laser printer for the design department. Thank you to all that helped make the night a success.

Year Twelve practical art and design classes visited Terry Stringers Studio and Gallery space as a trip at the end of term one. Terry talked to students about life as a professional artist, showed them the processes with which he makes his sculptures and showed them around his architecturally designed house. The visit was enjoyed by all who attended, they were able to interact with the sculptures.
At the end of term one, all students completing NCEA Level One Visual Art went to the Auckland. They were to make analytical drawing studies and take photographs Insects, Birds, Native Plants and Sea life. These drawings and photographs help the students complete both 1.2 and 1.3 achievement standards.
