Another exciting contest was held on Friday 17th February for the interhouse swimming as part of the first interhouse event of the year. All the students turned out in their house colours, making it a very colourful event. It's for all age groups, and consists of the Chariot race, the plunge and many more fun activities. The year 7 and 8's go 1st and 2nd period , year 9 and 10's period 3 and 4, and the senior students go last in the day. It's the first event for the year as part of the House competition. Orange house wins the 2010 House Competition. In a closely fought competition in which any of the 3 houses could have won up to the last House relays, Orange House came out the winner just beating Green House. more..

The Haka Competition was intensely fought again by all 6 Hapu with all presentations of a high standard. After a great performance by the First XI boys combining from all the houses, the judges awarded the top prize for 2009 to Orange House. Orange performed their kapahaka again and were met by a strong challenge from all the other hapu to close out another great house afternoon's competition. Well done to all the Houses.

Orange began with a more subdued start building to a wonderful crescendo. Yellow, Blue and Red followed. The final House events for 2008 were the House relays and the Touch Rugby competition. As a result of all the competitions over the year, Green House won the Overall house competition for the first time in a number of years. The leaders of the the conquering Green House, Ryan and Sara, accepted the house award at the Senior Prizegiving.
