Te Whanau o Mahurangi

Te Whanau o Mahurangi is an entity who operate alongside our kura and represent the Maori community. The main role of this entity is to support our tauira Maori and promote and sustain kaupapa Maori within the kura. By doing this our tauira Maori are guided to always strive for excellence.

Te Whanau o Mahurangi welcomes the involvement of those parents who have children of Maori descent and also those parents who are not of Maori descent but have an interest in kaupapa Maori. Te Whanau o Mahurangi meets regularly during the school term in the school whare which is located at the front of the school. Meetings begin at 6.00pm and newcomers are warmly invited to attend. Refer to the events calendar to confirm when the next meeting is scheduled and if you would like more information, please contact Gaynor Tahitahi on g.tahitahi@mahurangi.school.nz
