Mahurangi College is proud to provide quality education to the young people of the wider Warkworth area - from Puhoi in the South, Ahuroa in the West, Dome Valley in the North and to the coastal settlements of Pakiri, Leigh, Omaha, Tauwharanui, Matakana, Sandspit, Snells Beach and Algies Bay in the East.
We are a co-educational Year 7-13 school with an impressive record of achievement in academic, sporting and cultural activities. Many of our past students have gone on to achieve at very high levels in business, sport, academia and the arts. This success is due in no small part to the school's basic philosophy, which can be summarised as:

Mahurangi College has a unique warmth and friendliness that embraces all of our community - students, teachers, parents, local businesses and other friends of the school. Our emphasis is on academic achievement but we also strongly encourage all our students to be involved in some sporting, cultural and recreational activities. We demand a lot from our students but in return provide the very best of teaching and resources available.
Mahurangi means, "rock pointing to the sky.” We encourage our students to dream and to aim high. We want to see them succeed when they leave school. We want to see them being a source of strength and help to other people. And we in turn want to be a source of strength, confidence, support and motivation to our students.
We look forward to having you and your child as a part of our school community.
