Compulsory Costs
All fees must be paid into the Mahurangi College account number:
Bank of New Zealand, Warkworth branch, 02 0480 0016705 00
It is expected that all students will take an active part in their curriculum subjects.
Refunds
The college refund policy is as follows:
Mahurangi College has a fee protection policy that ensures that a refund of residual fees can be made to every international student if Mahurangi College cannot – for any unforeseen reason – provide the service that is guaranteed to the student. All fees will be put into a Mahurangi College trust account and downloaded on a term by term basis in arrears.
Insurance
It is compulsory for all international students attending Mahurangi College to have a comprehensive insurance policy to cover themselves against illness, accident, theft, loss or damage of personal items. Mahurangi College will not be liable for any uninsured misfortune.
Full comprehensive insurance can be arranged in advance by the International Student Director.
“Most students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand unless they are:
•a resident or citizen of Australia; or
•a national of the United Kingdom in New Zealand; or
•the holder of a temporary permit that is valid for two years or more.
If you do not belong to one of these special categories and you receive medical treatment during your visit, you will be liable for the full costs of that treatment. We strongly recommend that you have insurance that will cover the cost of medical treatment in New Zealand for the duration of your stay in New Zealand. We also strongly recommend that you obtain insurance to cover your travel to and from New Zealand.”
Travel and Transport
Return airfares are the responsibility of the student.
Transport on first arrival and final departure to / from the college or homestay is provided free. All other transport costs (such as visits by family or return visits home during term time or term holidays) need to be met by the student.
