BARRY FROST
STUDENT 1970-75
During his time at Mahurangi, Barry captained the 1st 11 cricket and hockey teams in 1974 and 1975 and played age group rep cricket for Northland.
After leaving school, Barry played first grade cricket for the Ellerslie Cricket Club in Auckland for 15 seasons before retiring. He started umpiring the following season 1995/1996 and was selected to umpire his first New Zealand Cricket tournament in the 1997/1998 season.
Barry umpired his 1st First Class cricket match in 1999/2000 season and was selected as a member of the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) First Class Umpiring Panel for the 2002/2003 season.
He retired from NZC First Class Umpiring Panel at the end of the 2014/2015 season.
