Hockey is an exciting, fast paced dynamic sport. We run several teams for both boys and girls in Y7-13 throughout a season that runs from mid march through to early September. Senior teams train twice a week and a game one evening a week. Intermediate teams train once a week and play one game after school. Top senior teams compete in the secondary schools winter tournament week in September and also have the opportunity to participate in long standing exchanges with Hauraki Plains and Mt Roskill throughout the year. Top intermediate teams play in the North Harbour zone day and are invited to participate in the AIMS Games in September.

The cost is $255 for senior teams and $210 for intermediate teams. This cost includes 14 games, 21 trainings and trials (turf hire) a contribution towards uniform which is provided, first aid, paid umpires along with provision of training gear and GK equipment.
All teams are provided with a playing shirt and skort (skirt with shorts) for the girls and shorts for senior boys. Intermediate boys are expected to provide their own PE uniform shorts. Premier teams will be issued with a tracksuit and sports blazer for the season. All players are expected to purchase their own playing socks at an additional charge of $15. A cage of balls, bibs and cones is also provided to each team for training.
Hockey for seniors is offered through the Warkworth Hockey Association during the winter season both locally and in the North Harbour Club competition, and for both juniors and seniors locally during the summer season.
North Harbour Hockey Development Programmes for Year 3-6 start 2nd March. Designed to teach and reinforce the fundamentals of hockey to any young budding hockey players, a great programme to dust off the cobwebs before the Junior School Competition starts in Term 2.
