Netball is a popular sport for both our senior and junior players. Training is typically once a week with games held after school for our NNH competitive junior teams and Saturday morning games for our senior teams. Our non-competitive teams play at Rodney.

Top senior teams compete in the Secondary Schools Winter Tournament week in September and have the opportunity to participate in long standing exchanges with Hauraki Plains and Mt Roskill throughout the year. Top intermediate teams play in the North Harbour Zone Day and are invited to participate in the AIMS Games in September.

COMPETITIVE TEAMS FOR 2022 - Netball North Harbour

All players that are wanting to compete at the NNH courts will need to trial at the school trials.

Wellsford - Rodney Netball grounds

Mahurangi College will have teams that are able to play at the Rodney Netball Courts in Wellsford for the 2022 season. These teams will not trial for this location. Junior teams are encouraged to be led by Mahurangi College student coaches or to be self-led. Senior teams are also encouraged to be self-led, with the help of parent managers. If you have a team that you would like to submit for this location or you would like to join a team, please fill out the expression of interest form for Non-competitive teams.

  • Year 7-8 every Saturday 8am-12pm
  • Year 9-13 every Friday 5:30-8pm

After the $50 trial fee has been paid, the outstanding amount will be charged to your child's school account.

Fees for 2022 are from $100 - $235

For your child to be registered into a team, fees for all players must be paid in full before the start of the season. Please see the accounts office should you need to set up a payment schedule.

  • Year 7 Tuesday 4 - 7pm

  • Year 8 Thursday 4 - 7pm

  • Year 9 Monday 4.30-7pm

  • Year 10 - 13 Saturday 8am-1pm

Players must be available to play during these times.  No dispensation will be given from North Harbour for girls involved in other sports or cultural activities.

Playing dresses will be supplied to all players, however players will need to provide their own plain white socks and red, navy or black plain netball nickers or spanks.  Please discourage your child from playing netball in Nike Free shoes or similar.  These are not safe to play in and can cause damage to ankles and shins.

If your child is selected into the Senior 1 Team. You will pay a bond of $50 which will be refunded for the return of the Sport Blazer in a laundered clean condition at the conclusion of the season or be charged a full replacement fee.

We are looking for volunteers for managers and umpires for each team.  Umpire courses will be scheduled throughout the year to up-skill interested parents and family members.  Please let us know if you are available to help in these positions.

  • All players will be required to individually register or update their details on the Netball North Harbour website.  We can only allocate you to teams once registrations are finalised. If you play for a club, you must register for school first and then add your club and complete the required forms. Every player should have been emailed by Netball North Harbour about completing registration. Please make this a priority if you are playing in 2022 and complete this registration before trials.
