We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students from year 7 to year 13. Some of this work would involve supporting students with additional needs in the classroom as well as working individually with students.

 

We are looking for someone who has:

• Patience and tolerance when working with neuro-diverse students

• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively and take direction as well as being able to work autonomously and use own initiative

• Ability to adapt classroom resources to meet the needs of some students

• Experience with working with students who can present challenging behaviour and an ability to de-escalate situations

• Ability to work as part of a team within a busy faculty

 

A willingness to learn how to administer personal cares to some students would be an advantage. 

 

Hours can be negotiable and the contract will be fixed term until the end of the year.
