Welcome to Mahurangi College.
It is always a pleasure to embrace visitors to our college and to share our amazing people and place.
For families of Year 6 students that are transitioning to our place, our Year 7 and 8 Media team have created a couple of clips of our homerooms and STEAM rooms (coming soon) for you to watch.
Alongside this is our 360 tour which shows a slice of life on a day at Mahurangi College.
Our closing date for new Year 7 enrolments was Friday 4 September 2020. If you have not submitted your child’s application yet, can you please do so as soon as possible as planning is well underway for 2021.

Learning Needs and Interviews
If you have a child with diverse learning needs and would like to discuss how the school can best cater for them, please email our Enrolment Administrator Toni Beer (below) for an interview request form. We will advise you of the date in advance when confirmed.
Information Packs - Early December
A full information pack will be sent to all new students outlining uniform requirements, stationery etc.
YEAR 7 + 8
Students are taught in their homeroom and there is an element of discovery embedded within their learning. Inquiry frameworks and thinking tools feature within the students’ day. Alongside this, there is also an important focus on ensuring the basics in literacy and numeracy are covered and that the students have strong foundations in both.
STEAM
STEAM is a programme that combines the Technologies and the Arts curriculum and incorporates elements of Science, Maths and Engineering.
