Applications for Cultural Blues 2026 are now open!

This is a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate students who have made an outstanding contribution to the cultural life of our school and community.

​

If your child is involved in Dance, Drama, Music, Visual Arts, Kapa Haka, Pasifika or other cultural activities, please encourage them to apply.

Cultural Blues Award Criteria

​

1. Representation and Performance

• The student must have represented Mahurangi College in the arts field and have performed exceptionally well in their artistic discipline, achieving regional or national recognition or equivalent.
   

2. Contribution to School Community

• The student must have actively contributed their talents within the Mahurangi College community, such as performing at school events, assemblies, talent quests, or other cultural activities.
   

3. Attitude and Leadership

• The student must consistently display an outstanding attitude, remaining highly motivated and serving as a role model by leading through example.
   

Note: To achieve a Blues Award, students must demonstrate excellence in all the criteria points listed above.
